Friendships by a campfire  (July 31, 2013)

The last night of camp, we were able to have the epitome of any camp experience: a CAMPFIRE. I remember last year, when the camps were hosted at the Vo-Tech college it was always difficult to find wood to burn for our campfires. Surrounded by the beautiful forested mountains in Lj., that is certainly not a problem this year.

Visiting Beijing (July 1, 2013)

The team was going nonstop for twelve straight hours today, sightseeing with our lovely friends Shawn and Nancy. For breakfast, some of us went to McDonald’s (don’t judge!) and the others went to a local restaurant, where we proceeded to American-ify our local fried bread by dipping it in sugar for our own version of a doughnut. Yum! Then we took the subway ...
